Repair website file and folder permissions - 17th July 2007

So your file and folder permissions have a gone a bit screwy, here's a quick way to put all files and folders to the correct default "web safe" permissions

change to the parent directory you wih to repair

this line sets permissions for all folders

find -type d -print0 | xargs -0 chmod 755

this line sets permissions for all files

find -type f -print0 | xargs -0 chmod 644
